Almeria Cruise Deals

Sitting on the south-eastern coast of Spain, Almeria offers an escape from the hordes of tourists headed to the more popular Granada and Seville. While it may be the driest part of Europe, making it a popular filming destination for many Westerns in the 1960s and 70s, this is easily remedied with a dip in the sea at the Playa de los Genoveses or the Playa de los Muertos. It is also a city steeped in history, where visitors can admire the impressive Moorish architecture at the Alcazaba or go underground into tunnels used during the Spanish Civil War. Although the nightlife in Almeria may not be as infamous as that of Malaga just down the coast, it is certainly not lacking in lively bars with traditional Spanish decor, extensive drinks menus and, of course, free tapas.
