The Braemar is a smaller size cruise ship, holding a maximum of 929 passengers. Enjoy your cruise in an uncrowded atmosphere and visit smaller ports, which the larger ships do not have the advantage of being able to reach. Once onboard, savour delicious cuisine, refreshing drinks with live musical accompaniment and traditional afternoon teas. You can also indulge in therapeutic spa treatments, fitness classes and a programme of enrichment activities.

The dress code onboard the Braemar is casual; however there is the chance to dress up for formal Gala dinners. Dining times for the evening meals are split into two separate sittings in the main restaurants. For those who wish for more flexible dining times, then there are other options available.

With the Braemar, you can travel to a variety of wonderful destinations such as Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. In every port you’ll have the option of taking part in fascinating shore tours; picture yourself sampling port wine in Portugal, Oyster tasting in France, wandering the Secret Garden of Tenerife or even encountering dolphins in the exotic Caribbean.

The Braemar offers comfortable accommodation in the form of cabins and suites, which all come with a television and an ensuite bathroom. Take your pick from inside, outside or balcony cabins, with the choice of twin or double beds. For solo travellers, there are a number of single inside and single outside cabins available.

For a more luxurious cruising experience, choose from Single Balcony Suites, Superior Suites and Balcony Suites. As well as an ensuite bathroom and a television, all suites feature a separate living area and a fridge. The Single Balcony Suite also has the extra addition of a handy mini bar.

Dine at the main venue, the Thistle Restaurant, for your chance to experience delicious, freshly made cuisine. The Thistle also plays host to the wonderful Gala Dinner formal nights, where guests don their best outfits for a sophisticated and traditional evening.

The next main restaurant onboard the Braemar is the Grampian Restaurant, which offers the same delicious menu as the Thistle, but in a smaller, more intimate setting. If you wish to experience flexible dining times in more a casual setting, then the Palms Café serves up extensive buffet cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Palms Café is also the place to head for a midnight snack, with a hot and cold buffet on offer between 11pm and 12am.

There is plenty to see and do onboard the Braemar. In the evening time, catch some live music performances and comedy shows at the Morning Light Pub. The Neptune Lounge and the Coral Club also play host to live music, as well as spectacular cabaret acts and musical revues. The Coral Club is also the place to go for a delicious Afternoon Tea or a spot of Bingo.

If you wish to enjoy a slightly quieter evening, relax with a beverage and some musical accompaniment from the resident string trio in The Braemar Room. For some spectacular sea views, the Observatory Lounge provides a relaxed setting with wonderful sea views. There are binoculars located throughout the lounge so that you can do some wildlife spotting at sea, or study the scenery as you sail into port.

When the weather allows for some al fresco entertainment, head to the Lido Bar where you can enjoy snacks and refreshments whilst enjoying the sea air. The Marquee Pool Bar also serves outdoor refreshments for those who wish to soak up the sunshine.

Aside from the many bars onboard, you’ll find a well-stocked library, golf cages and a spacious promenade, where you can join in with a game of deck quoits or shuffleboard. The Card Room is also a great place for game playing and is the ideal destination for a Bridge Tournament, board game or card game with fellow guests. For those who enjoy hands-on activities, the Arts and Crafts Room holds regular workshops to get the creative juices flowing.

If you feel like treating yourself to a new outfit, or perhaps you forgot to pack those holiday essentials, then you will find a collection of onboard shops selling perfume, jewellery, snacks, souvenirs and more. You can also visit the Photo Gallery for a chance to print out your holiday snaps or to get them organised onto a USB memory stick to take home with you.

Spend some time pampering yourself at the Atlantis Spa & Salon. Rejuvenate and refresh tired skin with a range of facials and skin treatments, make your hair radiant with nourishing hair treatments and show off your nails with a manicure or pedicure.

After a day at the spa, why not keep up that feeling of wellbeing with a trip to the Fitness Centre where you can choose to take an exercise class with a fully qualified fitness instructor. Choose from gentle Yoga and Pilates or a more intense cardio session.

Onboard you will also find a swimming pool, complete with Swimex machines for aqua exercise and a Jacuzzi for your ultimate relaxation. There are also plenty of sunloungers located around the pool deck – great for relaxing with a good book or a cold refreshment from the Pool Bar.
