The Carnival Liberty was the first of Carnival's fleet to undergo the so-called FunShip 2.0 rennovation - an upgrade which has now been implemented on several other vessels and which is centred around encouraging guests to have as much fun as possible while they're onboard. So, if you're looking to make the most of your time at sea and enjoy yourself to the max, you'll struggle to find a more appropriate ship for doing just that than the Carnival Liberty.
Before we get onto the entertainment and activities, a word about the accommodation itself. There is a huge range of options to suit passengers of all budgets and interests, with 20 different price categories and over 500 balconied cabins. Even the most basic rooms, however, are extremely spacious and comfortable, offering everything you could possibly need.
The Carnival Liberty is well-equipped with fantastic facilities, such as a state-of-the-art sports bar designed by video game company EA Sports. Here, passengers can watch live sport while also playing games on the flat screen monitors located around the venue. There are also several swimming pools, including the adults-only Versailles Pool on the Serenity Deck, as well as an onboard cinema and much more.
One thing that really makes the Carnival Liberty stand out is its fantastic range of dining options. No matter what you're peckish for, you'll have access to it at all hours of the day whilst onboard. Guy's Burger Joint, for instance, is an outdoor grill run by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, while the BlueIguana Cantina serves up unrivalled Mexican cuisine.
There's also a sushi restaurant onboard, as well as the signature dining room, where guests can enjoy some truly luxurious seafood. Alternatively, you may wish to take advantage of the 24-hour room service, or head to Pizzeria el Capitano for something a little more down-to-earth.
There really is no end to the fun to be had onboard the Carnival Liberty, with a great casino, several games rooms, a sport centre and much more all waiting to be discovered. For something a bit more relaxing, meanwhile, head to the onboard spa, where you'll be able to indulge in all manner of luxurious treatments.
Once night falls, head to the Punchliner Comedy Club and prepare to laugh until your sides split, thanks to the hilarious antics of celebrity compère, George Lopez. Alternatively, sit back and enjoy one of the many Broadway productions that are held at the onboard theatre.
The ship's resident theatrical and dance troupe puts on a series of regular themed shows, including the saucy Latin Nights, the hip-shaking Motor City and of course The Brits, which includes songs from the most famous British bands of all time.
