Launched in 2009, the Costa Pacifica is one of the newest ships in the Costa Cruise fleet, yet has proven immensely popular with travellers in just a few short years. For the most part, the interior décor is inspired by music and art, allowing guests to feast their eyes not only on the stunning ocean views but also on spectacular paintings and sculptures scattered throughout the ship.

Art connoisseurs will be in their element on board the Costa Pacifica as, along with musical inspiration, the décor very much focuses upon celebrating some of the finest artistic creations available. A total of 308 original works and 5,929 prints are placed throughout the cabins and public rooms, chosen carefully by Nicola Salvatore of the infamous Studio Cervi & Rossi.

The modern design of the Costa Pacifica ensures that all entertainment options are up to date, with a stunning central pool area extending over two decks and overlooked by a giant movie screen. With a retractable glass roof covering this entire entertainment area, this is the perfect place to relax as a family and enjoy an afternoon blockbuster no matter what the weather chooses to do.

One of the main draws for guests travelling on the Costa Pacifica is the exclusive Samsara Spa which, at just over 23,000 square feet, is one of the largest spas at sea available in the world. With a state of the art gym, numerous treatment rooms and a thalassotherapy pool amongst several other exciting options, the Costa Pacifica really does go above and beyond to make guests feel relaxed throughout their trip.

Guests aboard the Costa Pacifica are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to mealtimes, as there are no less than five different restaurants on board. Furthermore, the Samsara Restaurant is under the charge of renowned Italian chef Ettore Bocchia who, in order to achieve the finest quality, directly supervises and selects which dishes are to appear on the menu – now that’s fine dining at its best!

If Ettore Bocchia’s method of molecular cooking sounds a little too experimental, or if you are in the mood for a more casual meal, there are plenty of additional options. The Club Restaurant, as with all Costa Cruise liners, always proves immensely popular thanks to the variety of dishes on offer and, for a lighter snack, there is a Coffee and Chocolate Bar serving only the finest blends and melt in the mouth treats. As always, the Costa Pacifica’s team of waiting staff and maitre ds are on hand to point you in the right direction and help to make any tricky food decisions a little easier.

Guests aboard the Costa Pacifica are quite literally spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment, as the entire ship is geared towards celebrating music and the arts. During the day, a host of activities including sports competitions, dance classes and language tuitions keep everyone on board busy – or at least those not making use of the four swimming pools, waterslide and multi sports court anyway! There is also a state of the art Grand Prix simulator on board which is the perfect pastime for a budding racing driver or enthusiast alike.

By night guests have the opportunity to put their new dance skills to the test or visit the theatre which spans three decks and features the best in cabaret and speciality acts. Alternatively, those looking to become engrossed in the latest Hollywood blockbuster can head to the 4D cinema. Best of all, Squok kids club runs late into the night so kids and teenagers will have plenty to do, and parents have all the time in the world to relax!
