Costa Rica Cruise Deals

Costa Rica means rich coast, a name given by the sixteenth century Spanish explorers travelling South America. Cruises that stop in Costa Rica typically visit either Limon on the east coast or Puntarenas on the west coast. From either coast it’s a journey of several hours to the capital of San José but luckily there’s plenty to see in the coastal cities. In Limon you can tour the city, travel the short distance to Mointo, take a boat trip on the Tortuguero Canals into the forests, or ride the aerial tram with incredible views of the rainforest beneath. In Puntarenas too there’s an incredible zipline trip high above the rainforest canopy. Costa Rica is generally warm throughout much of the year, but wet weather is frequent. You can’t have a rainforest without plenty of rain, after all.
