Celebrity Cruises® has announced details of its new ship, Celebrity EdgeSM, which will set sail in 2018. It has been 5 years since Celebrity’s last launch, Celebrity Reflection®, so we were really excited for the first look of the new ship.
Celebrity EdgeSM is the first ship to be introduced to the new Edge Class which has been described by Celebrity as ‘’poised to change the way guests experience the world’’. As the first ship to ever be designed completely in 3D, this has allowed for each detail of Celebrity EdgeSM to be ‘’reviewed, fine-tuned and perfected’’.
At the heart of the interior design, Kelly Hoppen MBE is one of the most sought-after and celebrated designers in the world and is a great choice to make the bold, modern luxury statement that personifies Celebrity Cruises. The outward facing design aims to make guests feel ‘’more connected at sea and the exciting places they will visit’’ than ever before.

Public areas
The Magic Carpet is the only venue at sea that spans over 13 decks and changes location, function and mood. Depending on which deck you step afoot The Magic Carpet, you can experience something new. On Deck 16, you will be able to enjoy the exclusive ‘’Dinner on the Edge’’ experience, while on Deck 5, The Magic Carpet will extend to alfresco dining for almost 100 people.

The Retreat is a luxurious space reserved exclusively for Suite Class guests. The Retreat includes The Retreat Sun Deck, which has a full-sized pool with dedicated butlers and a Jacuzzi, The Retreat Lounge and the elegant Retreat Restaurant – Luminae.

The new Rooftop Garden is designed to awaken the inner child in all of us. It is the perfect environment to slow down and daydream. In the day, you can drift away to the sweet rhythms of the live musical performances and by night, retreat here for an interactive fusion of film and food with the Taste of Film events.

There are plenty of pool areas to suit each type of customer. Fitness minded guests can make some waves in the lap pool whereas the main pool can be enjoyed at leisure. A cocktail in the martini glass shaped hot tubs is a must!
There are two new suite categories with Celebrity Edge Class (Iconic Suite and Edge Villa) and there are more than double the amount of suites typically available onboard Celebrity Cruises®. The Iconic Suite is the most luxurious and spacious accommodation available in the fleet. These stunning suites offer panoramic views across the entire space and are situated just above the captain’s bridge.
The Edge Villas consist of six luxury two-floor accommodations which have direct access to The Retreat. They also have their own private Balcony with plunge pool.
The new Infinite BalconiesSM are 23% larger than the same type of cabins onboard Celebrity Solstice® Class ships.
In Edge Class, you are able to personalise and control each aspect of your room from temperature, service, lighting and shades.
Celebrity EdgeSM is currently on sale for itineraries sailing the sun-drenched Western and Eastern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale to ports of call such as Puerto Rico, Florida, Mexico and George Town.
Celebrity Cruises® will announce details of the entertainment offerings, shopping venues, youth programs, additional itineraries and dining options in due course. There are plans for pre-inaugural sailings, details of which will be released as the ship progresses further through the build process.
