Predominantly large modern ship from the mid 1990’s onwards, providing a very good quality all round experience, highly comfortable with a vast choice of facilities and services.
You will find reasonably sized accommodation on attractive ships providing good food, service and entertainment from a range of public rooms and restaurants. The premium cruise experience provides more space (30-40 tons per passenger) and plenty of activities for all age groups. There are some older and smaller gems in the group with fewer facilities but excellent service.
The "floating resort" style mega-ships operated by the likes of Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises score top marks for providing the most substantial, imaginative playgrounds and activity programmes for adults and youngsters alike. And since many of these ships are packed with the "wow factor", they also have plenty of general facilities - like rock climbing, in-line skating and themed restaurants - that the whole family can enjoy.
