Fred Olsen Formality - Semi-formal

Fred Olsen Dress Code

During the day, dress on board Fred. Olsen cruise ships is, naturally, casual and what you wear depends largely on the season and destination of your chosen cruise holiday. Guests on Fjord cruises may want to take a light jacket or sweater for the cooler temperatures, whilst on hot weather itineraries light summer wear will be more appropriate.

In the evenings the dress code will be more formal. It is expected that gentlemen will wear a jacket and tie (lounge suit or sports jacket is fine), and ladies will look informally smart. On formal evenings many gentlemen like to wear dinner jackets and ladies cocktail or long dresses. Casual wear is the norm on the first and last evenings of the cruise.

Fred Olsen Dining

Dining varies from ship to ship in the Fred. Olsen fleet. Here is what you could expect to find upon the Black Watch, which holds 804 passengers.

As you would expect from a ship of her size, Black Watch offers her passengers an impressive range of dining choices. At lunch and dinner you can ring the changes between the inviting elegance of the air conditioned Glentanar Restaurant, the more intimate Orchid Room - or, if the moment calls for informality or a quick meal, then try the delightful Garden Café or a snack in the sun at the Poolside Café or Marquee Pool Bar. You can be confident that throughout your voyage, the imaginative and well-practised culinary skills of our accomplished chefs and the excellence of our wine cellars, will add an especially palatable dimension to your many cruising memories. Service in the Garden Café is Buffet Style at all times.
