Kid's Clubs

Ocean Village is a perfect choice if you're planning to cruise with the family and you've all got varied interests and want different things from your holiday.

Ocean Village ensure that everyone has a fantastic time by providing great children's facilities and daily programmes that capture the imaginations of kids from tots to teens.

Aboard Ocean Village, families will be invited to an informal meeting at the start of the holiday where the youth team will explain all about the child facilities on board, the activities planned and the few restrictions on board.

Staff
Very enthusiastic and fully qualified staff at the Base Camp children's centre will be keen to make your children feel instantly at home.

Age Groups and Restrictions
6 months - 2 years
3-8 years (and 3-4 years and 5-8 years in peak periods e.g. school holidays)
9-17 years

Programme Availability
Although children are grouped by age, occasionally they may join with other groups for certain activities and events. Where there is high demand it may be necessary to limit the number of children taking part in an activity, although where possible Ocean Village will suggest an alternative activity.

Programme Hours
The children's programme is scheduled daily from:

9am-noon, 2-5pm and 6-10pm (6-11pm for 5-8 year olds, 6pm to after midnight for the 9s and over). A special children's tea is served each day at 5.15-6.00pm.

The Base Camp centre remains open until midnight for older children and during peak school holiday periods extended hours and extra arrangements are laid on for 13-17's. Teens also have their own area called the Hideout on Deck 2 where they'll find videos, karaoke, competitions and more.

Night Nursery
The supervised Night Nursery is open every day from 6pm until 3am for children aged 6 months up to 5 years. Children aged between 5 and 8 are also welcome if space permits. All children should be taken to the Night Nursery before 11pm and you'll be asked to settle your child before you leave. The nursery is free between 6pm and midnight, after this time it costs £3 per hour and £2 per hour for each brother or sister between midnight and 3am. As the number of places in the nursery is limited, they will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis daily.

Baby Listening Service
There is also an in-cabin baby listening facility available through the cabin telephone system. This enables you to call from anywhere on the ship and check that your child is settled in your cabin.

6 months - 2 years
Babies and toddlers are welcome at Base Camp during opening hours if a parent stays with them at the centre.

Action Ashore Programme
And if you'd like to go ashore, leaving your children in safe hands while you're not on the ship, you can make arrangements with the Youth Staff whilst onboard.

Many of the Action Ashore activities are ideal for children (e.g. water parks, aquariums, beach trips) but with the ship arriving at a different destination six days a week, there may be times when as well as going ashore as a family, parents want to spend some time ashore alone...

During school summer holidays, half term breaks, Christmas and Easter holidays, parents/guardians wishing to go ashore without the kids can leave them on board in the care of the Youth Team at a rate of £3.00 per hour for the first child and £2.00 per hour for each brother or sister.
