Gratuities & Tips

There is no obligation to abide by the amounts we suggest which are calculated on a per person per day basis. It all comes down to the service you've received and we prefer to allow you to decide who, when and how much you should tip.

Your Cabin Steward
As one of two people who do most for you, he would normally receive approximately £1.40 per person per day. Most passengers put the tip in an envelope and hand it to their steward on the last day of the cruise.

Your Restaurant Stewards & Head Waiter
Another service which you will use daily is the Restaurant. An appropriate tip for the attentive service of your Restaurant Stewards would be approximately £1.50 per day, or £21.00 per passenger for a 14 day cruise. You may also reward the Head Waiter, the amount is entirely at your discretion. Again you would probably prefer to place the money in an envelope and present it at your last evening meal on board.

On Oceana we have introduced and automatic service charge at the recommended amount per passenger per day which will be added to your ship board account. You can increase or decrease this charge at your discretion. To request a change simply visit Reception at any time during your cruise, where they will be happy to help.
