SeaDream Yacht Club is an innovative, new yachting company that operates the twin ultra-luxury mega yachts SeaDream I and SeaDream II.

SeaDream Yacht Club was founded in September of 2001 by Norwegian entrepreneur Atle Brynestad, who founded Seabourn Cruise Line and Larry Pimentel, who was President of Seabourn under Brynestad and later President and CEO of the merged companies Cunard-Seabourn. Pimentel is President and Chief Executive Officer of SeaDream and a Co-Owner. Brynestad is Chairman and Owner. The two friends brought into SeaDream a small group of management colleagues with vast travel industry experience as well as shipboard officers and staff of unequaled abilities.

SeaDream Yacht Club says "We are not a cruise line. We are a yacht company and we provide a yachting experience." That said, their two small ships regularly obtain accolades in cruising circles including being considered in the top 5 cruise ships according to Berlitz.

SeaDream has two small ships, each weighing just 4,253 tons and with a capacity of 108 passengers. They were once part of the Seabourn fleet and were sold off when Seabourn operations were combined with Cunard (subsequently the two have separated again). The crew to guest ratio is one of the lowest around. The 108 guests being pampered by 92 crew members.

Although they run flexible schedules and itineraries, basically SeaDream I and II sail on scheduled, seven-day itineraries. Nevertheless, although SeaDream yachts depart their first port of call and arrive at their last port of call as scheduled, arrivals and departures at intermediate ports are not necessarily cast in stone. The Captains have the authority to adjust for local opportunities. Therefore yachts can make unscheduled calls at small ports to visit a local fish market, for example, or remain longer than scheduled in a secluded bay so guests can enjoy a few more hours of water sports.

Although no cabins have balconies, they include all the usual features you would expect in a stateroom including an internet ready desk, with laptops available. There are 54 staterooms each measuring 195 square feet. Sixteen of these can be used to create eight double size rooms.

The ships were built in the mid eighties and underwent a major refit in 2002.
