On all ships, a dress code applies during the evening. Except for formal night, the dress code is smart casual, which means full length trousers and an open-necked shirt/polo shirt for men and equivalent attire (e.g. casual separates or dresses) for ladies. There is one formal night on each seven night cruise - normally the Captain's Cocktail Party. It's a great opportunity to put on your glad-rags and enjoy a gala evening. A dinner jacket or tuxedo is the norm for men but otherwise a suit and tie is fine. Ladies should be elegantly dressed - a cocktail or evening dress would fit right in.
Dining varies from ship to ship in the Thomson fleet. .
Dinner is served in two sittings on Thomson Destiny and The Calypso - normally 18:30 and 20:30. You can request your choice of sitting either at the time of booking or at the start of your cruise.
Aboard Thomson Celebration & Thomson Spirit there are no set sittings for dinner. The restaurant is normally open 18:30 - 22:00 and you will be shown to a table on your arrival.
Dinner is served in two sittings on gala night - you will be allocated to either an early or a late sitting on arrival at the ship.
A cover charge applies to dine at Zilli Restaurant on Thomson Celebration, Sirocco's on Thomson Spirit and at the Oasis Restaurant on Island Escape. As a guide, expect to pay around £15 for a three course meal.
Cabin service is available 24 hours a day on all ships (extra charge applies)
The Kids’ Menu - Children enjoy their very own menu, with home-from-home dishes and smaller portions. Available on all our ships.
