Children's Clubs Aboard Ship Thomson Destiny, Thomson Spirit and Thomson Celebration have a Thomson Kidzone club where a range of daily activities are organised by qualified Children's hosts. Children are welcome at activities as long as a parent or guardian is on the ship. Please refer to 'Kidzone (Children's Clubs)' in this guide for further details of Kidzone club availability at your hotel-based accommodation. On Island Escape, Palmy's children's club is available for children aged 3-11.
Children and Cruising
Cruises are most enjoyable for children between the ages of three and sixteen, especially when older children have begun to study other cultures. Cruise ships are not really suitable for babies and toddlers. On all ships, children should be supervised at all times. Here are a few tips to make a family cruise go smoothly.
■ Talk about the ports and the cruise with your child before you travel.
■ Be realistic about how much sightseeing the family can do; choose the occasional optional
excursion to the beach instead of more sightseeing.
■ Ask your family doctor about child-safe medicines to tackle the unexpected touch of
seasickness.
Infants
Infants under the age of 2 now have an individual luggage allowance of 10kg. Folding pushchairs and wheelchairs do not count as part of your baggage allowance, however you will not be charged to carry them when travelling on our in-house airline. Some flights shown are not operated by our in-house airline. The maximum weight for checked baggage on these flights may be limited to 15kg with no additional allowance for infants. The weight allowed for all flights will be shown on your tickets. For customers booking a tour or twin centre, baggage allowance during the tour or twin centre may be less than for the international flights. Please ask your holiday adviser for the latest details.
Kids’ Menu
Children enjoy their very own menu, with home-from-home dishes and smaller portions. Available on all our ships
