Fly & Cruise

If you are considering a cruise that involves flying there are two options: either you can book the cruise lines standard fly/cruise holiday complete with flights and transfers or book the cruise on a “cruise only” basis and then book your own flights independently typically without transfers.

Standard Fly/Cruise Holiday
Cruise lines standard fly/cruise holiday will include all outbound and inbound flights (either on a scheduled or charter flight basis), all transfers (to/from the airport to the ships pier) and overnight hotel accommodation (or day room accommodation) pre &/or post the cruise (if applicable).

If you are cruising in the Caribbean, for example, the cruise line will always allocate sufficient time for transfers to your ship, so you can relax in the knowledge that you won't miss the ships departure. In most instances within a standard fly/cruise holiday to the Caribbean on a scheduled flight, an overnight stay at a local hotel the night before the cruise and transfers to/from the pier will be organised as part of the seamless experience.

Most cruise line standard fly/cruise holidays are based on standard economy class flights. However, for a supplement, Planet Cruise can organise a flight upgrade for you to enhance your travel experience further.

Booking Flights Independently
Should you wish to book your flights and transfer arrangements independently you can still book any of the cruises featured on the Planet Cruise website on what is termed a “cruise only” basis. Just simply deselect the flights option when selecting your cruise itinerary. The quote you will receive will exclude any flights and transfers.

If you choose to book your flights independently we advise to allow sufficient time on the outward journey to clear customs and transfer to the ship and on the inward journey to disembark the ship and check-in at the airport. The ship will always set sail at the published time and will not wait for your specific flight to arrive!

Typically, the cruise lines featured will confirm sailing times on the confirmation, sent after booking. It is worth noting that itinerary changes or cancellations do happen from time to time, and the cruise lines will not be liable for your flight costs in this event.
