I am not fully mobile, should I consider a cruise?

Most cruise lines will do their best to accommodate wheelchair passengers wherever possible. Many of today's modern cruise ships are built with numerous wheelchair-accessible staterooms that include wide doors and large bathrooms with roll-in showers with handrails, hand-held showerheads, and fold-down seats and stools.

All cruise lines require advance notice of wheelchair passengers for all travel in order to ensure appropriate accommodation.

At some ports the ship is unable to dock at a quay and it will anchor some distance offshore. Cruise itineraries will say "by tender" or show an anchor symbol against the port name to advise you of this.

Wheelchair guests are typically restricted from using tender facilities and we advise that you consider the suitability of the itinerary carefully before booking.

I'm celebrating my Anniversary, am I entitled to any benefits?

A cruise is a wonderful way to celebrate your Anniversary; sailing away together into a golden sunset, discovering a secluded island beach or dining on your own private balcony.

As long as you inform us at the time of booking that it is your anniversary, the relevant cruise line will recognise the occasion and celebrate with you.

I'm pregnant; can I go on a cruise?

The answer to this question is yes but only up to a certain point in your pregnancy. If you will be 23 weeks or less by the end of your cruise, you will be allowed to travel.

However, once you reach 24 weeks, cruise line terms and conditions generally state that you will not be allowed to travel. However, as all cruise lines have a slightly different policy with some allowing travel up to 27 weeks of pregnancy, it is wise to check.

I'm single, is a cruise for me?

Cruising is ideal for people travelling alone, because it's so easy to meet other people. In fact, most ships have parties just for singles early on, so you can start to be involved right away.

Some ships also have single cabins as well as single rates for double staterooms.

However, be aware that dedicated single cabins are popular and you'll need to book early for the best value single rates.

I'm worried about seasickness, should I go on a cruise?

Seasickness is very rare on larger cruise ships as these ships are equipped with stabilisers designed to minimise the feeling of movement. If you should feel queasy, medicine is available from your cabin steward or the ship's doctor. If you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to consider consulting your GP prior to travel.

Is cruising right for honeymooners?

Without a doubt. Cruising offers an atmosphere that's just right for romance and most lines provide special services from Sunday or Monday departures to welcome champagne and breakfast in bed.

Also, some ships offer special programs for performing a marriage ceremony or renewing your marriage vows in port.

As long as you inform us at the time of booking that it is your Honeymoon, the relevant cruise line will recognise the occasion and celebrate with you.

We have children, is a cruise suitable?

Without question cruising is not only a fabulous, unforgettable holiday full of cool, high adventure activities for children; it's also an unbelievable educational opportunity. If your children are active and love adventure, they will enjoy a cruise.

Most Cruise Lines cater to and provide complimentary facilities and services for families with children of all ages including toddlers, youth, tweens and teens. This includes expansive programmes, facilities, menus and even special Shore Excursions and activities for children.

Most cruise lines have cabins that can accommodate three, four or sometimes even five passengers in one cabin. This means that children can often travel at substantially reduced rates when they share a cabin with their parents, making it more affordable to take the whole family on a cruise.

All cruise lines will allow you to bring your own pushchair onboard.
