Unless you are cruising from a UK port, or have booked your own flights, your cruise will include return flights and transfers from the airport to your ship &/or hotel. The cruise lines standard fly-cruise package is usually the least stressful option, and includes all transfers and hotel accommodation (where applicable).
However, if you are making your own transfer arrangements, check out how you will get to your cruise and allow sufficient time for all transfers.
On some cruise lines in Europe and in the Caribbean, where chartered flights are being operated, you can just check in your luggage at the airport and it will arrive in your cabin on the ship. All you have to do is board the bus and check in at the ship.
Unfortunately, in most cases, you will have to collect your luggage at the end of your flight and clear customs before handing it over to the cruise line to take to the ship or hotel.
On arrival and once you have cleared customs, you will be greeted by the cruise lines representatives, where you will be guided to your transfer bus. If you are cruising from the USA on a scheduled flight, you will probably have a night in a hotel before boarding your cruise the next day. Return transfers from the airport &/or hotel will be included in the standard fly/cruise price.

If you booked the cruise lines flights package, a cruise line representative in the baggage claim area will direct you to the cruise line transfer bus that will take you to the cruise terminal.
If you booked your own flights, you are responsible for your transportation from the airport to the cruise terminal. This may include taxi and shuttle services to the pier, which is available at all major airports.
If you are booking your own flights, we recommend you consider arriving a day prior to the cruise to ease any concerns of arriving to the port on time.
Return flights should not be booked any earlier than noon on the day your cruise returns. For airports that are longer distances from the cruise port, plan accordingly.

The Cruise Line will provide a full refund for any tour cancelled by the operators due to inclement weather conditions or the unlikely event the ship does not visit a port of call.

If you booked the cruise lines flights package, you should receive your flight schedule around 3 weeks prior your cruise departure date.
The cruise lines use major airline carriers, and they allow you enough travel time to safely arrive at the ship on time.
