Onboard Entertainment

Just like your days, your nights aboard a cruise ship can be as lively or relaxing as you choose. Once you've dined on the superlative cuisine and enjoyed the company of your fellow passengers, you may want nothing more than a moonlit stroll and an early night. If, on the other hand, your night is just beginning, a cruise holiday will offer you a dazzling array of entertainment and diversions.

After dinner why not check out the main evening show in the theatre; the production will typically be shown twice to complement the main dining room sittings. And, after the show has finished, wander around and you could find a late night cabaret, a talented vocalist, or join a hotly contested trivia quiz. If you're feeling lucky head for the casino, or if you feel like a laugh, take in a comedy show. If you're feeling more energetic, then come dancing! You'll find just about every style of dance on offer from disco to ballroom and salsa.

Two things that night owls will find most reassuring is the fact that the bars and night clubs remain open and buzzing into the small hours and, if you have children, there's often a full range of night-time entertainment to keep them busy and a baby sitting service for the younger ones.

The ship will have Entertainment Staff, normally lead by a Cruise Director, whose sole remit is to ensure you have a good time onboard. The fact is, there's so much going on at night that today's cruise ships have to print a daily newspaper just to keep its passengers up-to-date with it all.
