While the legendary nightlife is what draws millions of partygoers each year to Ibiza, for those looking for something a little calmer, Ibiza Town is a great way to see what else there is on offer. The waterfront may well be worth a look, simply to see the sheer number of bars and clubs and perhaps even glimpse one of the many celebrities who grace these shores in the summer season. However, there is a more grown-up side to this town, particularly at the Dalt Vila, an ancient walled fortress perched on a hill and looking out over the rooftops towards the Mediterranean. A far-cry from the more hectic seafront, the cobbled streets, often off limits to cars, are reminiscent of a bygone era. There is also no shortage of historic landmarks in this neighbourhood, with impressive churches aplenty, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art.
