Independence of the Seas

Independence of the Seas was the third ship to complete the Freedom Class group. One of the most popular Royal Caribbean ships, she boasts a whole load of new innovations and industry firsts. Fifteen decks packed with everything you could dream of for a perfect cruise, she is a true masterpiece.

At the heart of the ship you will find the Royal Promenade, an indoor promenade lined with shops, restaurants and cafes. A truly magical place to be, there is always something going on here from parades to live street-like performers.

The pool and sports deck includes a combination of outdoor fun and relaxing options. Home to the H2O Zone, one of the first children only water parks at sea, it has everything any child could dream of. For the adventurous, there is a basketball court, mini golf course and rock climbing wall. Independence of the Seas is also home to the Flowrider, one of the first surf simulators at sea. Whether you’re keen to give it a go or just watch the fun instead, it is definitely worth a visit.

For the more relaxed cruiser, the pool deck is very spacious and full of loungers, so you can simply enjoy taking in the sun with a tropical cocktail. Have some 'me' time in one of the largest spas at sea or the adult-only solarium also beckons. For the ultimate relaxation why not immerse yourself in one of the cantilevered whirlpools.

The ship has recently gone through an upgrade as part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Advantage programme meaning Independence has even more exciting and advanced features including an outdoor cinema screen, ship wide Wi-Fi, a nursery and Cupcake Cupboard.
