From the Arctic to the Caribbean, Princess Cruises' Island Princess allows you to travel to the most exciting regions on the planet aboard the greatest floating holiday resort you could possible hope to find. Indeed, having been built to Panamax specifications - meaning it's the largest size a ship can be in order to be able to pass through the Panama Canal - it has the freedom to circumnavigate the globe. As such, there are no borders or boundaries to your adventure onboard this superb cruise liner, which brings the world to you.

As you sail, you'll have all the facilities and amenities you could possibly hope for from a cruise ship - and plenty more besides. Take your pick from a range of accommodation options, with economical interior cabins offering fantastic comfort at a great price, while the more lavish suites and mini-suites provide the ultimate in luxury. A high proportion of cabins feature their own balcony, enabling you to enjoy the amazing scenery as you travel to some of the world's most exotic destinations. There are 13 sets of interconnecting balcony cabins on deck 12 for families who enjoy their own space with the security of being able to access eachothers cabins.

There are also loads of great leisure facilities onboard the Island Princess, with no fewer than three swimming pools and six hot tubs. Each of the pools offers something slightly different. The swim-against-the-current lap pool is located in the fitness centre and provides a great workout.

Island Princess benefitted from a multi-million dollar refurbishment in May 2015, this included a redsign and upgrade of the Horizon Court restaurant  and upgrading of the upholstery and carpeting.

There are dining options aplenty onboard the Island Princess, with the Provence Dining Room and the Bordeaux Dining Room both offering a highly refined experience. The former of these serves meals at set times, while the latter is available at any time of day, giving you the flexibility to eat when you want.

On top of this, there are a number of speciality eateries, with Sabatini's Italian restaurant serving up all your favourite pizza and pasta dishes, and the Bayou Cafe and Steakhouse offering sumptuous New Orleans cuisine. And don't forget the patisserie or the sundae ice cream bar, which are perfect for when you're feeling a little peckish.

The Princess Theatre hosts nightly performances of some of the greatest shows at sea, while the Movies Under the Stars outdoor cinema provides another great way to spend an evening.

Crooners Bar, the Churchill Lounge and the Wheelhouse Bar offer live music and the opportunity for a pre or post dinner drink.

Quiz nights, casino nights

The gym was newly refurbished in 2015 and has plenty of modern fitness machines, weights machines, free weights area and studio for group classes.
There is plenty to do onboard Island Pricess, each day there are talks, events and entertainment tailored to the cruise itinerary.

You might enjoy a cookery demonstration and a galley tour, a lecture about the upcoming ports of call, health and beauty discussions and demonstrations. There is always somethign going on and you can do as much or as little as you like.

For children there is the excellent youth centre where there are activities throughout the day and evening. In addition to that there are 3 swimming pools, table tennis, a sports court and mini golf.
