MS Noordam was launched in 2006 and is the newest Vista class ship in the Holland America Line fleet. With ample space for 1916 passengers and 800 crew, the 82.5 tonne ship is typically elegant with the traditional Holland America black hull and gleaming white super structure.

The Vista ships have been designed with new elements that are intended to welcome a more multi-generational audience. Traditionally the typical Holland America customer has been at the more senior end of the scale but the aim of ms Noordam and all the Vista ships is to provide facilities that will appeal to the younger generation and their children sailing with them. The kids clubs and activity range on Noordam are excellent with expanded Club HAL for the youngsters and a very successful Loft Teen Club where the tweens can escape from their parents.

Dining is a celebrated occasion on ms Noordam.

The glamorous Vista restaurant boasts 5 course gourmet meals every evening, presented with impeccable style and a fantastic wine list and served by attentive and friendly staff.

The “As You Wish” dining allows you the luxury to alter your dining time to suit your mood. If you fancy a romantic meal for two or possibly you have made new friends and would like to join forces for an evening then you can organise this with the Maitre D’ who will be happy to oblige.

For a speciality restaurant there is Canaletto, where you can feast on delicious Italian fare.

If you fancy an informal meal then the Lido restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and serves up fresh, cooked-to-order specialties for all three meals.

Entertainment on ms Noordam is varied and suits all moods and tastes.

The Vista show lounge is a fabulous venue for colourful live musical shows and performances by talented vocalists.

You can relax in the movie theatre and watch the latest films or be tickled pink by the comedy acts.

End the evening with a visit to the Casino or a cocktail in the Crow’s Nest which transforms into a fashionable nightclub each evening.

With all the delicious food available there needs to be good health and fitness facilities to counter balance the indulgence.

The gym is state of the art and the Greenhouse Spa and Salon are a haven of luxurious treatments and massages. You will definitely come away feeling pampered and revitalised.

During any 7 night cruise there will be 2 formal nights and on any longer cruise 3 formal nights. Guests enjoy the opportunity to dress up in tuxedos and ball gowns. On standard non-formal days guests respect the no jeans rule across all the eateries, and they maintain a smart casual standard throughout the ship.
