MSC Magnifica will now be cruising from Southampton in 2014! The 2550 passenger ship debuted in 2006, complete with a contemporary design, higher number of balcony cabins and 4 great restaurants. There is one formal night during the cruise, but the rest of the time, it’s a casual dress code.

There’s a whole host of reasonably priced bars on board, including 17 bars and lounges, each with their own unique theme, wine and food selection.

Itineraries include the best of the Mediterranean such as Venice, Istanbul and Dubrovnik, along with European specials that visit the likes of Bruges, Amsterdam and Paris.

The 2 main restaurants are L’Edera and Quattro Venti, boasting the best of Mediterranean cuisine, from the carefully selected Italian meats to the freshly baked bread.

Specialty restaurants include the Oriental Plaza, perfect for mid-morning Dim Sum or classic Chinese dishes.

In terms of the entertainment, expect cheeky vaudeville fun in the 1240 capacity Royal Theatre, dancing in the futuristic T32 Disco, and punters trying their luck in the Atlantic City Casino. There’s also a video arcade and games room for children and teenagers.

Relaxing or working out has never been easier, with a great spa, lido deck pool and inside pool.

The fitness area is also fully stocked with everything you could need to keep in shape during your holiday.
