Queen Mary 2

Cunard Line’s flagship Queen Mary 2 is one of the most famous and recognisable cruise ships sailing today. The embodiment of traditional cruising, QM2 is held in awe and great affection by all who sail with her and all who witness her. Famous for the iconic transatlantic route to and from New York, there are few more impressive sights than Queen Mary 2 against a Manhattan backdrop.

As Cunard’s flagship, Queen Mary 2 sails the world over; whether it’s transatlantic cruises to New York or circumnavigating the globe on a world cruise, Queen Mary 2 sails with impeccable style. With her iconic black hull and smart red livery, QM2 oozes quality, tradition and sophistication.

In June 2016 Queen Mary 2 underwent a 90 million dollar refurbishment project titled Queen Mary 2 Remastered, 1 million man hours went into applying extensive transformations to the ships exterior and interior.

Queen Mary 2’s public spaces including dining venues and bars plus staterooms and suites have had substantial makeovers, enhancing the ship’s classic look, yet maintaining a traditional tone throughout.

Sumptuous accommodation comes in many options of staterooms or suites, with exclusive dining options and packages attached. Grills guests can choose from Princess Grill or Queen’s Grill for an extra special and indulgent dining experience.

Those with beloved pets need not worry about leaving them at home when off on a Cunard cruise, as Queen Mary 2 is the only liner with permanent facilities for furry friends. A dedicated kennel master keeps an eye on pets at sea, allowing owners to stop by and say hello during their voyage.
Casual dining venue Kings Court now boasts 80 new lunch menus and 50 new dinner menu options. Guests will also be able to enjoy themed evenings including Smoke House night and Aztec night. The fresh new design for King’s Court is Art Deco inspired and features up to 400 new pieces of art work.

Previous dining venue Todd English has been replaced with French inspired Michelin Star style restaurant The Verandah. The exquisite design and sophisticated atmosphere is a nod to the original Queen Mary liner.

The stunning new Carinthia Lounge provides guests with a beautiful backdrop to enjoy a good book or catch up with new friends. Dining options here include light breakfast and lunch with homemade patisseries.

Further notable updates to dining and recreation include the largest collection of port at sea, available in the newly refurbished Commodore Club.

Cuisine is an integral part of the Cunard experience and all who sail onboard Queen Mary 2 can indulge in luxurious afternoon tea, formal three course dining, 24 hour room service, champagne service and much more. A quintessentially British atmosphere can still be felt on board and Cunard’s famous White Star Service provides only the best.

Entertainment on board is extravagant and plentiful with something to suit everyone. The main Theatre is the Royal Court and is draped in plush red velvet, with comfortable seats for the audience to sink into. The live musicals, comedy and classical concerts are a wonderful post dinner treat. A much loved occasion is formal night when the Queen’s ballroom fills with waltzing couples in black tie and ball-gowns and the string quartet play while champagne and cocktails are circulated by attentive waiters.

For those wishing to carry the night on into the early hours, the Casino is a fun and sociable place to chance your luck.

Further facilities on board include the luxurious spa and gym, swimming pools, jaccuzzi’s, tennis court and more.
