Adventure of the Seas is all about choice, with so much to do on board. The Royal Promenade is a great spot for a relaxing, wandering, perhaps with some shopping, a spot of lunch or a well-deserved cocktail.
Adventure of the Seas also has a great choice of places to eat – from fine Italian food to ‘50s-style burgers. And of course, there’s adventure: ice skating, rock climbing and inline skating
You will start your holiday by departing from Southampton and spending your first day relaxing at sea. This allows you to explore the ship and meet the staff and other passengers.
You will first visit Vigo where you will notice the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Vigo, which is a big attraction for those visiting the area. You will also notice how the square has not changed throughout the years and still maintains a historic feel.
Gijon is your next visit; it is a super base for exploring the North of Spain and is the biggest city in Asturias. Gijon is a modern busy town with a big marina and plenty of Spanish history to delve into.
You will then cruise on over to Bilbao. This really is a city to dream about – vital, vibrant and culturally dynamic, yet somehow stress-free and, above all, civilised in the true sense of that overused word.
If by now you feel like completely relaxing and wanting to spoil yourself, then you will have the choice of a relaxing day on board where you can just go with the flow.
Your last visit will be Paris, which probably has the most familiar landmarks than any other city in the world. As a result, first-time visitors often arrive in the French capital with all sorts of expectations: of grand vistas, of intellectuals discussing weighty matters in cafés and romance along the Seine.
After your fantastic day in Paris you will head straight back to Southampton where you will disembark with lots of great memories of your holiday.
