Built in 2001 and introduced into the P&O Cruises fleet in 2010, Adonia presents a comfortable and intimate cruising experience with an adult only guest capacity of 710 passengers.

Previously named Royal Princess, Adonia underwent renovations to join the P&O fleet in 2011 adding modern detail to traditional wood paneling whilst retaining classic features such as the grand sweeping lobby staircase, extensive library, trompe d'oeil ceiling and faux fireplace, all which contribute to the gracious and charming atmosphere of the ship. Adonia operated under Fathom Impact Travel for a short while in 2016 before moving back to P&O Cruises for 2017.

Spanning just 180m in length grants Adonia access to out of the way ports with longer, more in depth itineraries often featured in her calendar. Supporting the mature clientele onboard, Adonia also boasts an extensive enrichment lecture programs and a wide variety of shore excursions to accompany the unique itineraries and, with 75% of staterooms featuring balconies, you are sure a fantastic view as you sail into port. The more intimate size of the vessel also allows for a greater sense of camaraderie between guests and crew alike with guests often returning time and time again to their home away from home.

In all, Adonia is a sophisticated choice within the P&O Cruises’ fleet, perfect for those looking to experience the joys of traditional cruising where the interests of mature guests are catered for from entertainment and itinerary to service and décor.

Dining onboard Adonia is a delightful experience with a great range of restaurant and bars to choose from during your stay. Indulge in a fine six course silver service at the main Pacific Restaurant, or enjoy the two specialty restaurants each with sweeping views over the ship’s wake. For tastes of the Mediterranean head to Sorrento Restaurant for fine Italian cuisine, or to the Ocean Grill where you’ll savour a great selection from land or sea in a relaxed alfresco setting.

Raffles – Enjoy fresh coffee and delightful chocolates in Raffles decadent surroundings throughout the day, whilst at night this relaxing hub turns on the charm serving the finest cocktails prepared b friendly bar staff.

Crystal Bar – Take in the sunny rays on deck and enjoy relaxing sea views and friendly company. Crystal Bar is located close to the pool and serves a wide selection alcoholic and soft drinks.

Lido Café – Relax and tuck into tasty dishes from juicy burgers and traditional fish & chips in this charming outdoor setting with sea views.

Sorrento – Celebrate those special intimate moments at Sorrentos classical Italian restaurant. Enjoy Italian delicacies and finest Mediterranean dishes while the sunsets beside you.

Ocean Grill– Expect dishes cooked to exceptional standard inspired by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White. Succulent steaks, British beef delectable cuts of lamb and delicious salads await.

Pacific Restaurant – Adonia’s main restaurant is abuzz with scrumptious meals, attentive waiters, luxury surroundings and a happy atmosphere.

Conservatory & Bar – This relaxed dinning venue is perfect for a light snack and dinners. The buffet presents a great selection of dishes that will change throughout your journey. One of the best places to watch the sun go down onboard Adonia.

Olly Smith's The Glass House -  New to Adonia from 2017, find expert wine and food pairings curated by celebrity wine expert, Olly Smith.

Indicative of her Godmother, Dame Shirley Bassey, entertainment onboard Adonia is classically refined and superbly attuned to British tastes. Sample live music by night in Anderson’s Bar boasting comfortable seating while you're being serenaded, or enter the Grand Lounge with its trademark inlaid wooden flooring for a classical waltz or informative after-dinner speakers.

For pre-dinner drinks wonder to Raffles for signature cocktails and only a short walk to the Pacific Restaurant. Those looking for show time excitement will be left in awe at the main Curzon Lounge with a range of live stage performances from Latin dancing and pre-dinner ballroom on display every night.

For those looking to work up a sweat can head to the equipped gymnasium offering daily fitness classes with Yoga and Pilates available at a surcharge. If relaxation is what you seek take a dip in the Crystal Pool or receive some much need pampering at the Oasis Spa & Health Club who offer a variety of different treatments and a beauty salon.

Guests can take in the early morning views along the jogging track and find their competitive edge whilst making new acquaintances playing traditional deck games. Try your hand at deck chess, deck quoits, shufflleboard, table tennis.
